Palm oil shell is waste produced from the palm oil extraction process. This process involves pressing the oil palm fruit to produce the shell as a byproduct. Palm oil shells have been used in many countries, such as Japan, as an alternative energy source to replace fossil fuels. Typically, palm oil shells are processed in palm oil mills across Indonesia. PT. Sapta Sentosa Jaya Abadi produces palm oil shells from two mills located in Region I and Region II.
